A man was yesterday jailed for five years by a Naivasha court for raping a woman.

Mbugua Gacheru Mugweru, who admitted committing the offence on January 30 at Bondeni Estate in Gilgil, was also ordered to receive five strokes of the cane.

He appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Lucy Waruguru Gitari.
