Thrashing For Boy
For having indecently assaulted a girl of five years, a 16-year-old boy, who pleaded guilty, was ordered to receive a whipping of 10 strokes with a cane, to be administered by his stepfather at his home, in the presence of a police officer.
The defendant's offence was stated to have been committed at his home, where he was temporarily living alone while his parents were absent on a holiday. The boy was stated to have drunk four glasses of wine in the house before his offence.
The police reported four previous charges against the defendant, mainly alleging larceny.
