Whipping ordered
"Your offence has been singularly repulsive," said the Chief Justice (Sir William Irvine) in the Bendigo [Victoria] Supreme Court today in sentencing George Henry Brereton, 20, to two years' imprisonment and a whipping of 15 strokes with the birch.
Brereton pleaded guilty to two charges of having indecently assaulted two girls aged respectively 5 and 8 years.
