For this video the location of filming is not known, but the scene looks somewhat African.
A youth is made to bend over a table in what looks more like somebody's messy backyard than school premises, though "school punishment" is how the video was described on social media. On the other hand, the youth does look rather like a schoolboy.
The proceedings are somewhat chaotic: two men, who do not look much like educators, are doing the caning, apparently disagreeing with each other about how to carry it out. The cane, which doesn't appear to be a proper rattan, is visibly fraying at the business end. Some 8 or 9 firm strokes are inflicted in total: for the last few, the young man has been moved to bend over a dustbin instead of the table. He does not make a serious attempt to resist.
A woman is also present. She is heard intermittently commenting and also appears to be filming the scene. Maybe this is more of a family gathering of some kind than an educational procedure.
