In this one-minute video clip found in 2010, three small boys are being spanked by the side of a busy public swimming pool at the Shiroudi Sports Complex north of Tehran. Afterwards they are seen rubbing their buttocks. The implement used is a flipper.
The punishment was apparently administered not by the boys' father, as I originally assumed, but by the swimming trainer employed by the pool. I understand this caused quite a public fuss, as a result of which both the trainer and the manager of the sports complex were fired.
