Bangladesh -- Two video clips.

This dates from 2009, before corporal punishment was banned in Bangladeshi schools. In the one-minute clip we see a series of college boys lined up to receive one loud whack on the buttocks with what seems to be a kind of paddle as they pass the teacher. This is said to be for talking in class. The picture quality is very poor and jerky.

In this 45-second clip we see another classroom scene, from 2017. This class is quite rowdy. Selected boys stand up in class for one mild stroke of cane on the seat of the trousers from the roving teacher. This is plainly not a serious punishment.
