Corpun file 24829 at www.corpun.com Emirates 24/7, Dubai, UAE, 29 September 2013A costly fight for two Saudi drivers
Two Saudi drivers who had an argument about road priority were too stubborn that they decided to fight their way through, apparently not realising it will be a costly fight. The two from the eastern province of Qateef then reported each other to the police, who referred them to court, which decided that both are guilty. "Each of them told the judge he does not want damages but wants the other to be punished," the Arabic language daily Sabq said. "The judge accepted their plea but decided that both should be punished ... he sentenced one to four months in jail and 120 lashes and the other to 10 days in prison and ordered him lashed 20 times."
