Sex offender gets 5 years in jail

A 28 year old Ba man will spend the next five years behind bars after he was convicted for sexually molesting his 7 year old daughter.

Police say the man's wife found out earlier this month that the man was allegedly sexually molesting her every night since January last year. Due to the assaults the victim has received injuries. The class one student's mother is also in police custody facing charges of murdering her elder daughter last year.

Magistrate Mohammed Shaifullah Khan also ordered that the 28 year old man receive six strokes of cane for his inhumane act. The 7 year old girl is now in the care of foster parents.
