Bundibugyo district to revive kibooko
By Souza Justus in Bundibugyo
Parents in Bundibugyo town council have appealed to teachers to revive corporal punishments in schools and restore discipline.
In a meeting with the LC-III chairperson, Fulgension Bamwitirebye, at Bundibugyo Parents' School, the parents expressed dismay at the deteriorating academic standards which they blamed on indisciplined pupils.
They noted that pupils get late at school, loiter in town, smoke cigarettes and opium and engage in gambling while at school.
Bamwitirebye who is touring the town council said he will sack incompetent teachers.
