Yemenite Sentenced to 6 Strokes
Burned Hands of Girl with Irons

Haifa, Sunday. -- The trial of a group of Yemenite youths of Nachliel, near Hedera, was completed by the District Court here today, when a boy of 14 was sentenced to six strokes of the birch. Together with some others, who were sentenced to prison terms ranging from one to three months, he had burned with white-hot irons the hands of a Yemenite girl suspected of stealing.
A Yemenite woman, who had also been concerned, was ordered to sign a bond of good behaviour for one year.
